Traded shitload of stuff for Rielly, was it too much?

So i just traded these guys for rielly combined with a very late 3rd round pick: Max Jones, Ryan Spooner, Dansk, Janne Kuokkanen.

I desperately needed space and my Defence sucks. Also dropped poulliot at the same time. Was it too much?

Thanks! Well Spooner is actually scoring on 57pt pace this season and suddenly started hitting ppl too. Max Jones might be very good for our leaguetype some day..

Good asset management here plus Spooner has been so inconsistent you could argue he's in sell-high territory.

I like this trade for you. Spooner is a sell-high IMO, and although Jones and Kuokkanen are decent prospects, they're nothing special IMO. You acquired a quality player, and you can probably pick up some decent prospects to replace the ones you traded away.

As for the prospects, you can find solid replacements if you work hard enough. You can't own everyone so upgrade deals like this are a good idea.

i really like this trade for you. Spooner might be on a 57pt pace, but Rielly's on his own 50+pt pace. if those prospects turn out, become studs, to the point this trade looks really lopsided the other way, it'll be so far down the road you'll have forgotten you made this deal to begin with.

which, in my opinion means you win the deal.

A lot of players look good for a shirt while after being traded. It has often lead even NHL teams making mistakes thinking it will last forever. Most of the time, it doesn't.
