I'd love to join you guys to get to know a different slice of dobberites but slow live drafting on the dobber boards sounds painful .

are you guys committed to Yahoo or would you flirt with idea of fantrax (its open 365 days a year for baseball)& hold the slow live draft thought them ?

I know horrorfan has a fantrax account now haha

Fairly committed to Yahoo unfortunately....and ya if you look back our draft was actually very fast last year. When you have guys like Eskimo, 2014olympicgold and lucafen in here....everything goes smoothly.

Obviously if everyone wants Fantrax we could switch....

I'm also a Yahoo guy. If the league switches to fantrax I'd probably bow out.

You aren't stirring the pot at all, I just don't like fantrax. If the majority of the league prefers fantrax that's fine with me, I would just have to find a different one year league.

well , how did you keep track of your accumulated rosters and who was still available to be drafted ? I'm like you guys , just a casual mlb fan these days so drafting on a message board might be tough for me wheras the tools in the yahoo livedraft room would be easier .

Basically just check the thread before posting. The beginning of the thread will have all of the draft picks there.

First post in the draft thread would get updated. What I do is just pull the top 300 or so names in order out of the yahoo draft, stick them in excel, and red out the names once they're drafted. I'd be happy to just make it a sharable google sheet and you guys could just check in on it if you wanted to get a view like that.

That's a great idea EB! Would be very useful for the entire league and would avoid double picks.

Couldn't update it while at work, but should help a little anyways.

If you draft on this " board" how long does it take to complete the draft and how long do you have to make a pick?

For those wondering how last year's draft went, here is the link to the draft thread: http://forums.dobbersports.com/showt...l-League-Draft

You can see how smoothly it went and that it only took 9 days to get through 17 rounds. Us Dobber folk are committed and with EB's idea of a shared google spreadsheet, this year's draft should go even smoother. hockeyrobot also updated team rosters on yahoo when he could which was also helpful.

I would be interested BUT I don't quite understand why you did the draft that way? The live draft is so much easier and faster. Im confused
