You can’t call it a break out unless he sustains it. Needs to show it for more than one year. He has been a big disappointment since being drafted and you can’t argue that. Already his 5th full season

Rielly on the other hand. Not sure you can call an offensive bust when he's 12th in NHL scoring for Dmen currently

    31 in 47 - 54pt pace.
cherry picking one year, his fifth season , is not the right things to do. Before this years half a season, he has been a major disappointment offensively . It would be like saying couturier was not a bust offensively before this year

get back to me when Reilly a) keeps up the pace or 40 point pace at least and b) does it again next year

no... just no. you said he's been an offensive bust 'so far' ... 'so far' this season he has been anything but. You referred to his career TO DATE. 17/18 is not an offensive bust season 'so far'.

If you were to summarize his whole career. He’s been an offensive bust. Am I wrong? One season doesn’t erase 4 others

Someone is an offensive bust when they do not produce much points - that can't be said about Morgan Rielly. It usually takes about 4 years for a player to break out, him doing it in the 5th year is not that out of whack.

And he did have a decent offensive season a couple years ago? 36 points for an NHL d man... I would not say that is a bust.

Why can?t it be said? I?m not saying he will always disappoint . But 33 points or whatever as a career average as a 23 year old isn?t as good as we were hoping. I have had him in fantasy as well

A guy likely more readily available with huge upside is Max Gildon. Close to ppg Dman in NCAA rookie season and has a feisty side averaging a PIM per game

Bust in terms of expectations which were sky high . For where he was drafted , Burke saying he would have gone 1st if they picked 1st . Hedman was also considered a bust offensively before

I found the answer you were looking for - you expected too much too soon.

The reason I had to comment was that he gave negative rep for my comment on this thread... but he hadn't even made his own comments on the thread. haha

I still think there is hope for Anthony DeAngelo to become an elite fantasy d-man if he could only find the right situation. A situation where he doesn't have to play big minutes 5 on 5 but can be the 6th Dman and play 14 minutes 5 on 5 and a couple minutes a night on PP.
Jeebus I hope so. It?s taking FOREVER!!!! But I keep on waiting. This is his opportunity.

Negative REP? Never thought I'd see the day on Dobber.....

Also a big fan of Fox, I think he can be had a reasonable price right now but I think his stock is going to soar.
