He wouldn't be a keeper for you, so I would only bother if the price was cheap and if you could flip him for more at the deadline when he's closer to being healthy.
Any thoughts on my team getting Jeff Carter and stashing him on my bench? No room on my IR with El Nino and Scheifele, plus I have Quick also on the bench with his injury. This team is terrible on scoring, record is 2-15. I took it over about 3 weeks ago....

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
If your team is 2-15, I'm assuming you're out of the picture as far as winning this league goes (unless your league is very forgiving in the number of playoff teams it allows). So there's nothing wrong with stashing Carter IMO. Given his goal total last season, and if he can find any success with the small portion of the season that he'll probably play, I think he definitely enters the keeper discussion for you. As Eskimo said, you could always trade him when he's on the verge of returning too.

Yep I would stash him. I'd also probably want him over Nino anyway.
I would stash him place of Nino. IMO he is definitely a keeper for you. Slots in at about your sixth best player. Looks like your a little weaker up front than either D or goalie, so he helps you.

Agree with the others - grab him either to keep or to ransom off at the deadline.
