went down hard in the corner after taking a big hit earlier in the shift. He was in considerable pain and exited immediately to the locker room -- that's all I've found

Ya he took a good hit from Davidson that sent him into the boards. It didn't look like anything serious until he didn't get up. If I had to guess, I'd agree with EB, probably a broken clavicle.
