Vladislav Yeryomenko, a D-man for Belarus, starts to interest me. He went undrafted last summer but now has 26 points in 31 games playing in the WHL. How the heck do the Calgary Hitmen have two D-men (him and Jake Bean) leading the team in points? Have they traded away their top forwards?

Anyways, he's looking good so far.

Solid game for Canada tonight. They pretty much dominated this game from the start. Nice to see Point get a start but he really wasn't a factor. He made 20 saves but none were real testers per se. Here's hoping Clague is back for the outdoor game. They will need him vs the USA.
10 Team, Points Only, Cash League

25 Man Roster (no position), top 20 point getters count at end of month
Keep 20/25 at seasons end, Cut 5 to FA for redrafting
    Goalie points W=2pt L=-1pt SHO=2pt

Stamkos, Tavares, Eichel, Mercer, JRobertson, RThomas, Kucherov, Nugent-Hopkins, Tuch, KConnor, Necas, Point, Konecny, SJarvis, Cozenz, Morrissey, Bouchard, Josi, Novak, Tolvanen, Peterka, Brink

Nicely summed up. The game on Friday is a can't miss. What I would do to be at that game live.

one of the better 'team's' Canada has had at this tourney in the past few years.. the lines are playing really well with each other. Gadjovich looked fantastic out there... nice late 2nd round grab by the Canucks!

The best teams are the ones who win. That has yet to be determined for Canada. Beating Finland was huge as they were one of the favorites coming in, along with Canada, Sweden and the USA. The game vs the USA isn't a deal breaker if they lose but it's a huge game for sure.

Canada hasn't won very much in the past few years either.

I need to clarify, my comment was this looks like one of the better 'teams' as in playing like a team in recent years as well... you've taken my original comment out of context. it wasn't related directly to winning/losing, but chemistry line by line, D to F. They've gelled really well.

I actually didn't make a direct comment about winning or losing.

I really really hate the idea of having this or any game in this tournament outdoors.

I wont lie, I would rather see them play this game indoors as well considering the importance of it, but it's pretty cool none the less (considering the expected temps, no pun intended there).

the idea of having 1st in the pool decided in this game where the elements are a factor doesn't jive with me. One can hope that some of the warm weathered American's really don't do well in this climate.

    Finland shots: 60
    Denmark shots: 7

One Demark D-man going down blocking shots late in the 3rd period .... respect.

Their count is wrong. Finland is at least up to 60SOG.
