So you are suggesting that the NHL playoffs should switch to a shootout as well? Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals decided by a Shootout goal?

Its a team sport... and the best team doesn't always have the best shootout individuals on the team.

No, I'm suggesting there is nothing wrong with international rules. Unlimited overtime is never gonna happen in international play, so beating that drum is useless. Just my opinion.

Not to mention, I'd take Finland's shootout specialists over the Czech's any day of the week. Finland didn't lose because of their weak shootout specialists....

Updated for 3/4 games today (The other one is a late one).

I'll have to put in the USA-RUS game tomorrow after work due to the timing of it all.

Weird seeing Canada win 8-2 and so many points just sitting on the side as no one picked them (Howden with 4, Comtois with 3, Timmins with 2, etc...). Same with Sweden - only guy who got points (outside the goalie who practically everyone owns anyways) was Lundestrom, who was only picked twice.

I'm hoping for a Russian win tonight. I have three Russians and three Americans, but I feel like the USA losing would screw over more people.

Updated everything with the USA-RUS game from last night.

Don't bother reading the rest of the text up here, I'm just using it as an excuse to write more with my mechanical keyboard that just came in today.

Just read that Logan Brown could be back today for the US. That would be a big help against Sweden.

Mete is in for Canada as well.

Winner of SWE/USA probably takes Gold, huge game today.

And I wouldn't be surprised if CZE can take out Canada, they've had a great tournament.

Just doing some analysis of the top 5 teams (newfcollins, Captain Cally, markyj, Axeman33, kjamieson)

Players that all 5 teams have and are still in tournament:

    - Elias Pettersson
    - Adam Fox
    - Carter Hart
    - Filip Gustavsson

Number of players remaining (Outside of the common owned players above)

    newfcollins - 10
    Captain Cally - 11
    markyj - 12
    Axeman33 - 11
    kjamieson - 10

Lone wolves (Players that are only on 1 team that could win the pool for there team)

    newfcollins - Necas, Hajek, Liljgren
Captain Cally - None - every player remaining is on at least one other of the top 5 rosters.
markyj - 12 - Filip Chytil or Kale Clague - guaranteed one of these guys in the gold medal game that none of the other top 5 have.
    Axeman33 - Boqvist
    kjamieson - Mittlestadt, Tufte, Bean

Czechs and Slovaks both were good this year. They’d be a terrifying team if Czechoslovakia was still a thing...

So you're saying other than kjamieson, we all have Alex Nylander as our Captain?

Except newfcollins... who has Tolvanen who will no longer accumulate points.

And that is only the current top 5 teams.

That's what I'm hoping for. Bought tickets to the gold medal game yesterday. No matter who of these four teams makes it, should still be a fun one to watch!
