I took 5 players from Canada, USA, Sweden and Finland. Chytil was my 21st player. After watching that lazy performance from Russia, I'm glad I didn't take any of them. They'll probably score a bunch of goals against weaker opponents but I have no idea which of their players will be doing that because they're not giving proper minutes to players like Abramov, Svechnikov and Kostin.

Here's hoping I selected the right 4 teams to go all the way to the medal games. At this point, that's still looking good.

Hart and Gustavsson. Oettinger was my 3rd choice but didn't quite make the cut.

Is Oettinger even the starter for the US? I just assumed it would be Woll.

And I assumed it would be Oettinger. So I don't know either - and I'm very glad I didn't take him then.

No clear cut starter from what I've read, seems like both will get action in the RR to decide who is starter.

I went with Hart/Gustavsson too, seems like the goalies with the best chance at sticking in net.

Right before Ray starts talking someone yells out trash, and then you get the Russian dude all disgruntled.

Abramov led all Russian forwards with 17:02 in ice time. Barely noticed him.

Svechnikov at just 11:13. Kostin at 14:39. Kostin most noticeable of the trio.

I was mostly referring to Abramov's lack of PP time. But yeah, he wasn't noticeable at all.

The only Russian player who really stood out to me was Zaitsev on D. He played a lot himself.

Yeah, I have been complaining about Abramov's lack of PP time as well.

Captain - Eeli Tolvanen - FIN

    Forwards
    Janne Koukkanen - FIN
    Andrei Svechnikov - RUS
    Vitali Abramov - RUS
    Martin Necas - CZE
    Filip Chytil - CZE
    Jordan Kyrou - CAN
    Taylor Raddysh - CAN
    Kieffer Bellows - USA
    Logan Brown - USA
    Riley Tufte - USA
    Elias Petterson - SWE
    Lias Andersson -SWE

    Defence
    Ramus Dahlin - SWE
    Adam Fox - USA
    Miro Heiskanen - FIN
    Olli Juolevi - FIN
    Cale Makar - CAN
    Kale Clague - CAN

    Goalies
    Carter Hart - CAN
    Filip Gustavsson - SWE

I'm surprised Abramov played so much - as others have said he didn't stand out. Svechnikov's lack of ice time is a concern.

I'm happy with both Necas and Chytil's start. I went with Hart & Gustavsson in net - both should see the bulk of the starts for SWE & CAN.
