I got Sweden or United States winning this tournament. Canada's balanced team and A+ goal-tending give them as good as chance as any though. Sweden is just too skilled, same with the Americans.

I would say this on my facebook but the last time I said the Russians were going to beat us in the Gold Medal game (quite a few years ago now...edit 2011) we lost and I got quite the backlash by everyone. One of my cousins deleted me as a friend and made a 3 post tirade related to me and that I was not a real Canadian. They interpreted me saying Russia was going to win that I was rooting for Russia, which was not the case.

But here is a good video to watch before the game.

Looking forward to watching Sweden in a few (might have one of the most hyped up D cores in the history of this tourney this year) and then CAN vs FIN should be a barn burner...
I remember Hedman and Larsson both getting massive hype in their time.

I like the Fins, Swedes and USA to finish 1, 2, 3. But it is always somewhat of a crapshoot. Will be interesting to see who pulls through and who chokes.

I don't think Canada has the top-end talent to pull through this year but you never know... They are as deep as they've ever been and always have as good a chance as any every year, that's for sure.

Look for joey Anderson to have a big tournament. Kid is incredibly quick and is going to get prime minutes this world juniors. I think his stock will rise with this showcase.

Anyone watching this online that could grab the clip of the Russian dude yelling "Trash!" after the Czechs made it 4-2? Legendary hockey moment.

Russia's offense is good but I think their downfall is definitely their defence. I want to see that clip metaldude is referring to lol.

russia was a 4/5 finisher for me this year. only ended up picking up one, abramov. but you never know, if any team can surprise and land a medal it's russia.

I took the exact same strategy. Finally saw Abramov get some PP time. Seems like a Necas single bullet would have been the better play.

The only Russian I took was Altybarmakyan. Not really sure why as I didn't know a lot about the Russians Jrs this year but I read something about him pretourney and I liked what I read. He's got me a point so far so it's not a complete waste of a pick.

2 periods in and I already regret not picking Chytil. I had him on my team till the very end but took him off. And I was thinking of taking Altybarmakyan but went with his center Maltsev instead.

    GET WELL SOON, DOBBER.

I took Altybarmakyan too. No science behind it, just thought he had the coolest name and was a top 6 forward for Russia lol.

Other Russians I took were: Alexei Polodyan, Mikhail Maltsev

Three Russians? Wow. I almost took off Alty for other CZE kids I liked more. The only Czech kid I took was Zadina (2pts so far today!) but I had Necas on there as well as Chytil and took them both off. Ugh. I couldnt imagine finding room for two more Russians. Hope it works out for you (as long as you dont beat me )
