Still no word if Fabbro is in or out yet. Last report I saw was from Bob MacKenzie saying he was undergoing testing to see if he's being kept or not.

He's in. I'm a little disapointed actually. I really liked Mahura in the game against the Swiss last week.

Dante Fabbro (NSH) in for CAN. Josh Mahura (ANA) out. CAN?s final roster is now set.

he's definitely better when healthy but that's the question. not even sure it makes sense to rest him for the round robin games because then he'd be coming into the elimination games cold.

i do think canada's D will be the last thing they need to worry about. goaltending will always be the question mark, if Hart can even play average we'll have a good shot at medalling.

i still think we don't medal this year...

I sent a batch of confirming e-mails just now. If you sent an entry and didn't get an e-mail just forward the OG sent e-mail to my inbox (the timestamp there will help in case of any issues).

Lots of entries came in this morning - deadline's in a bit!

I hope to have a file with the first update up by tomorrow morning, but we'll see how it goes. I forgot I don't have a computer with Excel so it'll be fun trying to figure out what I'm doing (probably open them with Excel Viewer or Google Sheets...)

Here we go! RUS vs. CZE to start the tourney.... Best hockey to watch all year IMO (ok maybe tied with the first round of the playoffs)...

Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays to all. Enjoy the tourney!

Welp. Abramov already looking like a dud pick. Haven't even seen him out there.

Necas-Zadina have been money on that Czech PP.

    Necas looking great.

Where the hell is Svechnikov... hate how the Russians punish the North American skaters with less ice-time... he should be their go-to player. Haven't noticed him on the ice once yet...

He's out there on one of their PP units, unlike Abramov.

They don't punish them because they play in NA, its mire that the coaches prefer their older players.

Yeah just noticed him for the first time...

Looking forward to watching Sweden in a few (might have one of the most hyped up D cores in the history of this tourney this year) and then CAN vs FIN should be a barn burner...

I have now seen Abramov absolutely punking folks behind the offensive net. Good sign. Still no PP use yet.
