Rittich
I know the sample size is tiny but Rittich has looked very good in Calgary since being called up. Anyone know anything about this guy? Any chance he comes out of nowhere to become a starting goalie similar to a Freddie Andersen a few years ago or Quick before that?

There is always a chance but the odds are stacked against him having any long-term success in CGY with Smith ahead of him now and Gillies/Parsons holding all the long-term value today.
Maybe he turns into a Dell type guy and gets a 1B sniff somewhere else down the line.
My money is on this being his 15 seconds of fame and disappearing back into the AHL/Czech or serve as a full time NHL backup. But who really knows? Time will tell... Certainly has impressed so far.
