What do we expect from this kid fantasy wise?

    Lots of competition in Philly.

He's in a terrible situation honestly. Ghost and Provorov ahead of him, not to mention Sanheim, Hagg and Morin...the latter of the two will just eat minutes as defensive specialists.

Myers at best will be lucky to see 2nd pp unit time. Hopefully he gets Samuel Girarded and moved to a different team, he was screwed too being behind Josi, Subban and Ellis.

If he stays in Philly...upside of maybe 25-30 points. If he gets moved to a team that would utilize him, 35-40+ potentially.

I dont think he's in a terrible situation at all. Quite the opposite actually. The thing that separates Myers from the names you listed is that Myers is a right handed shooting Dman while all the others listed are left handed shooters and Philly doesn't have many right handed shooters. I don't know if any of those kids slow him down much at all. If anything, Myers compliments them and could end up being the best of the bunch.

Like any prospect Dman, patience has to be shown. He's in his first year as a pro in the AHL and he's learning the pro game. He's learning that, unlike in Jr, he can no longer go coast to coast untouched. He's learning how to be better in his own end before worrying about scoring.

There's a reason why everyone has this kid as one of the best prospects in hockey. He's the real deal.

    Yes that true Axe.
If he's one of the best he'll shine through.
I just got him for Craig Smith in a cap league.

I really like Myers but he needs to stay healthy. He's getting injured too often which will eventually hurt his potential because these are crucial development years for him.

I'm not too worried about competition with him because of what Axeman33 explained.

A lot of the same concerns were expressed about Montour... not only did he make his way into the NHL with the deep D ducks.. they made space for him to take on a prominent role. It`s really up to Myers how he gets deployed moving forward
