Nylander because he is on Toronto and they should be good for years to come, you never know with the Islanders management whether they will compete or not each season
I thinking of upgrading one. Who do you prefer long term? Team 2 in sig.

Nylander for me
I would go with Barzal. I really don't know how much better the Toronto situation is. I think the Islanders scare some people off. But I actually more so think Barzal looks like he will be the superior player. As good as Nylander can be, I think Barzal is better. And sure, you can't tell if the Islanders will compete or not. That's fair. But I also don't think Barzal will have as much competition for minutes as Nylander might. Barzal has established himself as the Islanders second best player in my opinion. I think he is guaranteed to get major minutes as long as he's with them. And if Tavares ever got moved from the Islanders, then I think Barzal would take over at 1C and become that much better a fantasy play.
Mostly though, I think Barzal has looked better in his rookie season than Nylander did in his rookie season AND his sophomore season. Right now Barzal is outproducing Nylander for the season. He's easily on pace to eclipse what Nylander did his rookie year. I also think Nylander's scoring was uneven meaning he scored A LOT more on the PP than at full strength.
