I'll throw those threads up in a couple hours then, just watching the Ireland-France friendly right now. I was surprised to see no Champions League Final threads to be honest.

Maybe there will be a write in Mex-Can bid ? #NaftaStrong

Yeah, not holding my breath for sure. But would be great for the game in our country.

By that time the World Cup will be up to 40 teams, so all the hosts getting a spot isn?t absurd. It would be interesting to see what happens to the rest of the concacaf teams should that be the case.

Huge boost for Peru with star player being reinstated for the tournament after being suspended on doping charges. Peru, without him looks good in warm ups, besting 3 European team recently, including a full strength Croatia.

Ahh... but with my accent it does...

I voted for Belgium... just because they have a chance and they aren't one of the usual culprits!

Overall a very entertaining World Cup so far with quite a few interesting results and scenarios playing out at this point.

It?s been an extremely entertaining World Cup so far. I?ve managed to watch every game in it?s entirety so far (except for yesterday?s 3 matches where I caught extended highlights). It?s been the World Cup of penalties so far though. What?s been disappointing me is the lack of action/activity the World Cup has generated in the forums. I created a discussion thread for each group hoping that we?d have some dialogue after every game but it seems like fellow Dobberites aren?t all that interested in the greatest sporting event in the world. Time for me to get up, stretch and walk around as I wait for the next match to kick off.

I have been making a point of following the scores. I was going to try watching some games... but things have gotten very busy this week. So I apologize for not keeping up with it as much as I woulda liked!

Probably a combination of not too many footy fans and the forums themselves having their slower period in the hockey offseason. After this, probably one general sawker thread for any sawker talk at all might do.

Today’s games should be good. Particularly France-Peru and Argentina-Croatia later on.
