Default Looking for new fantasy site

    Hi all

Not sure if this is the right location for this post, but I figured I'd start here.

I'm the commish of my fantasy league and we're looking for a new home for our league next year. We've been at officepools since our start up in 2003, but we're looking for something a little more functional. We're a basic keeper league that counts goals (x2 for d-men), assists, wins, SO and OTL. We have roster changes on Mondays and a monthly waiver draft. We run with rosters of 23 during the season, but we keep 12 in the summer and have an 11 round draft.

Looking forward we want to be able to host the draft on the new site (right now we do it through e-mail) and for me, I'd like a little more automation in terms of running the league.

A couple ideas kicked around have been Yahoo (pros: fairly easy to use; cons: when I've used it for hockey before I found that it didn't have some "sleeper" and deeper players) and Fantrax (pros: all the bells and whistles; cons: Price issues? And is it too much for what we need?).

Does anyone have any suggestions of other sites? Or thoughts to expand on my pros/cons with Yahoo/Fantrax?

    Thanks in advance!

Fantrax premium is what, $80? If your league has 10 teams, that's $8 per GM for a full year of fantasy hockey fun. Although, there's also a free version of Fantrax which doesn't have all the features but maybe it has enough for what you need? I suggest checking it out.

I switched to Fantrax about 5-6 years ago and haven't played anywhere else since then, that's how much I like it.

You should look at the Fantrax free version. It might be able to do everything your league requires (and more) without having to pay for the premium version. Our league uses the free version and it has way more than we'll ever need.

We use espn and I don't have any major complaints and it's free.

Been using fantrax fairly exclusively for a few years, the free version when we started using it was very customizable, can’t imagine its any less now. The full version is awesome.

Went from CBS to Fantrax last year and I prefer it. Yahoo is OK but the app is loaded with crap. Fantrax app is rudimentary but entirely functional.

Fantrax and its not even close.

Although one thing you WILL MISS 100% is the Playing Tonight tab that officepools had.

Someone convince me to go Fantrax. What is better about it.
Honestly the only reason tying me to Yahoo is I have about 8 leagues run on there.

If all the parameters of you're leagues work on Yahoo then theres no need. The big reason my league went there is for the farm team options which are awesome.

    Yahoo closes during the summer.

That alone is worthy of a move.
