Kind of wanted Drouin so I offered a team Point who is hot right now for the cold Drouin. He accepted. Can't believe the value you can gain in the first few days of a season.

That's a great trade.
I personally like Drouin on a whole different level from Point.
Point is VERY good, no doubt... but in keeper leagues you've got to think big-picture.
Drouin is no entrenched as a top line future forward on Montreal. Line 1, PP1, next 5-7 years.
TB has a lot of money tied up in forward...
Not only that, but the same summer that Kucherov becomes RFA (2020), Point will also be RFA (2020)... Sergachev too (2020).
Point is going to be a great player to ride for two years.
But after that, Tampa Bay is going to have to do some kind of overhaul.
These things change.
Four years ago everybody was talking Stamkos-Drouin linked for the next 10 years.
Look at how that worked out.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, it isn't a slam dunk type trade but I decent trade. I like that in fantrax Drouin has C/RW/LW eligibility too. Provides a lot of flexibility on busy nights.

I like this trade for you. Big picture with Drouin as a keeper this makes a lot of sense.
