I'm cautiously optimistic about YakAttack. Definitely give him a waiver wire chance, but whatever you do, don't trade proven talent for what may just end up being a flash in the pan.

No. Not 5 games into the season. You can grab him as a gamble but it will take 2 good seasons to convince me.

I just cant resist. My loathing for him compels me to comment.

I dont believe Colorado will continue to play this well. And I think Yak will eventually regress to his mean. He is playing with a good C in Duchene but once that combination ends the production will likely dry up as usual.

Watching the games, Yak has been fairly visible in a good way. He's shooting the puck again, and seems to be working out okay in Colorado's system.

He always had the talent, I think he's a worthy waiver wire grab, but I wouldn't deal off a proven asset for him.

I scooped him up the other day and he rewarded me with a 2 point game. I think he might have a 40-point season or better in him but we'll see. If he puts together a few games that net me negative fantasy points, he's a pretty quick and easy drop though.

I have faith in him... EDM (bad situation days are over) STL used him as a filler .
All i have to say is as long as COL doesn't trade Duch. and he sticks with the Duch all year he'll be back to decent production.

But if Duch leaves... most likely will Yaks productivity haha

(sigh) I believe in him and will give him one more crack at it. Since he is likely playing this season for his NHL life. (I think he'll do whatever it take to hang on for dear life)

Doubtful.... Sakic has turned down way more for DUCH. Duch for Drouin and Gale maybe... lol "don't want to make more fake rumors"
Would be interesting seeing how the OHL linemates reunited. Druoin and Mac & Gally with yaks =) Never gonna happen though.
