There is a $3.5M difference this year but I assume that Carlson's salary will be similar starting next year.

In a points-only league this would be really close but in multi-cat leagues I'd definitely want Carlson

Carlson. But after his contract goes up, I'd need a lock for 50 points plus his peripherals to make that worthwhile. D men are always tricky in cap leagues.
