When I started this thread say back in October, when Tolvanen is killing the KHL, I never realized he'll become so hugely hyped. I'm afraid this hype is going to set up some poolies for a disappointment. I mean, he is coming over this year but I don't expect him to do much for fantasy GMs. And long-term, keep this in mind: Nashville is neck deep in talented forwards and they like to spread ice-time around. Even Forsberg, whom Tolvanen is unlikely to better, has not had a single PPG season.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

I think Tolvanen does real well when he goes to Nashville. They pretty much said he will get a top 6 role and that team is ripe with talent so that's a good pedigree for success in my opinion. Not sure if it would be the same on a different team.
Points only keeper. 12 Teams. No pos requirements. 18 skaters / 3 goalies (2 count for points.) G/A = 1 point each (includes goalies) Goalies = 1.5 for W / 4.5 for SO. Minors - 4 year protection. Prospects added during their draft year only. Undrafted = waivers.
    Skaters: Tolvanen,Jeannot,Drysdale,Benson,Sprong,Fantilli,H .Lindholm,T. Raddysh,K. Miller,Edvinsson,Roslovic,Sharangovich,McBain,Benn ett,Crouse, Luostarinen,Dube,Phillips

Then said "possibly" in a top six role, which is not the same as guaranteed. Also, realistically, you can't expect a rookie to be guaranteed a spot in the lineup, let alone top six. Tolvanen will well in Nashville long-term but not as well as the hype seems to indicate.

I imagine he won't get big minutes this season and his minutes/zone starts will be sheltered. Next year he should be middle six at least and get some nice PP tick. If they put Subban/Forsberg/Arvidsson/Ryjo and a smith or Ellis with them then roll Josi/Fiala/Turris/Tolvanen and a smith or Ekholm as PP2 that's two deadly units.

This sounds like a reasonable progression. I wouldn't be surprised to see 30-30 from him in year 2 or 3.

No I’m crazy but not dumb. If Tolvanen comes over and plays mostly quiet I would try to get him as long as it only costs an arm and not an arm and a leg. If I had a pick outside the top two this year I would see if that and a little change could get it done. If I have the third pick I’d do it straight.

Tolvanen can appear in up to nine games this season without burning the first year of his contract. Playoff games count toward that total.

Looks like that ELC gonna burn a year too.

Its amazing that Nashville doesn't have cap problems already.. Josi and Forsberg have sweet deals though I guess.. Tolvanen will be a welcomed addition in that city!!

It may take a little time to process things like contract, immigration etc. In other words, don’t necessarily expect Tolvanen to be on a plane to NSH in the next day or two:
10 Team, Points Only, Cash League

25 Man Roster (no position), top 20 point getters count at end of month
Keep 20/25 at seasons end, Cut 5 to FA for redrafting
    Goalie points W=2pt L=-1pt SHO=2pt

Stamkos, Tavares, Eichel, Mercer, JRobertson, RThomas, Kucherov, Nugent-Hopkins, Tuch, KConnor, Necas, Point, Konecny, SJarvis, Cozenz, Morrissey, Bouchard, Josi, Novak, Tolvanen, Peterka, Brink

    G- Vasilevskiy, Sorokin, Oettinger
