It's that of the year again, the deadwood is washing out and Global Dynasty Hockey League finds themselves seeking two replacement managers for the fast approaching season.

You may have seen us posting on here in the past, obviously there are few resources better than the Dobber Classifieds for finding new managers. For those of you who haven't seen us around let me tell you a little bit about what we've got going on in our league with an excerpt from previous postings;

We're a 20 team league going into our 7th season this fall, with about half of the original members still in place from our inaugural season in 2011-12. We pattern the vast majority of our rules off real NHL rules, so you'll find things such as a 23 player active pro roster (3C, 3LW, 3RW, 6D, 1Skater, 1G and 6 bench) with a 33 player farm system. Waiver eligibility criteria for promoting/demoting players between your pro and minor league rosters, along with an annual prospect draft in the summer consisting of 5 rounds. We have an extensive rule book, formatted into a highly organized and detailed league constitution. The constitution is updated every summer to include any changes/improvements collectively decided upon at our annual GM meeting which takes place the week after the NHL trade deadline. We use the GM meeting primarily to get everyone in one place at the same time to discuss issues and changes needed but also to provide a venue to jump start trade talks for our trade deadline, which happens a few days later.

We utilize 12 statistics for our weekly matchups, which include;

Goals, assists, points, special teams points, giveaways (replacing +/- for us this season) hits, blocks and shorthanded time-on-ice for skaters.
Wins, goals against average, saves and save percentage for goalies.

We have 12 of 20 teams making the playoffs each season and the two teams available finished in 13th and 16th places respectively this past season, so they are middle of the pack teams ripe for opportunity to make your own mark. I've included below the full list of players within the franchises below, broken down by rosters currently contained the the teams pro roster as well as their minor league roster.

As always this process is not a "first come, first serve" scenario. We vet potential candidates fairly thoroughly, especially compared to other leagues and we really don't make a move on someone until we're happy they are not just the best fit available, but a good fit overall for our culture. Ultimately this ends up meaning we favour highly active, committed and passionate managers, so if that sounds like you then we want to hear from you.

If you're like to submit an application please contact [email protected]

Once we receive your email you'll be forwarded a questionnaire consisting of 10 questions that we ask you to answer and return to us. Your best bet is to be as descriptive and honest as possibleso we get a good idea of what we're gettingand what separates you from the rest.We usually get a lot of requests for more information about the league or to view our constitution, however as a rule we don't share the constitution prior to extending a formal invite to join, so if you make it that far you will get a chance to see it before you fully commit.

That's it for now and we look forward to hearing from everyone who is interested!

As you can see there is a bit to work with for each roster, their final rank I feel more so reflected the effort - or lack there of - put in by their previous owners more so than the actual caliber of the team but even with that being said there is a decent amount of parity in the league so a few key moves could change the landscape and your fortune.
