Default David Pastrnak vs Nathan Mackinnon Pts only

Pts only (G=1, A=1) Pastrnak or Mackinnon. I'd be getting Mackinnon back. Anybody here still consider Mackinnon generational?

I take Pasta here. Mack could very well breakout, but that breakout would be what Pastrnak has already done.

Take the guy thats already hit 70 (I am a Mack owner myself). I also think the term generational is thrown around too willy nilly sometimes.

I have no issue with the trade but Im not sure I ever recall anyone saying MacKinnon was generational.

i would say for next year or 2 i rather have Pasta, after that Mackinnon could come close maybe even have few more points. it will really all depends on what colorado does as a team. So i would say Pasta is safer pick

And the "Generational" wore is dropped again. No... Mack is not
Generational like Crosby, McDavid or Matthews.

I earnestly waiting for the Mack break out but like others have said...that could be on par with Pasta.

    I go Pasta here.

Pasta is better, but less so than if goals were at a premium.

So many of Pasta's goals were on breakaways or other slick moves. He has the skill to get the job done, plain and simple.

Mac may be as well but he is surrounded in question marks, and you already know you have a 70pt 30goal scorer in Pasta.
Not to mention goals being generally harder to come by and Mac has never gotten near what Pasta has already achieved.

I think MacKinnon's potential is wasted in Avs (meaning he probably will never get to have the points output he could have elswhere), while Pastrnak's role with the Bruins is insured the short-long term (unless that contrat situation goes sour), I would go Pastrnak for sure there.

I'd prefer Pastrnak. He has shown he is capable of scoring 70 pts and is only 21 years old and paired with Brad Marchand. MacKinnon has the skill but not the linemates at the moment.
