I don?t know if Draft Day has come and gone for you.
But if you think you'll be competitive in two years (from what I read in your original post), why wouldn?t you draft one of Guentzel or Granlund? These might be the guys the GMs in ?win now? mode will target. I don?t think they?ll target a rookie that will produce 40 points.
Makes sense? And maybe you could land the rookie you want in round 2 or as a prospect? (maybe not for Hischer but who knows).
