With all due respect, since Crosby's first year in the playoffs, what have the Sens ever done to the Pens in the playoffs? Last I remember is a Crosby domination.

However, I wouldn't disagree if Washington's depth = Senators depth.

I just don't think it does. Their D isn't as strong or as deep, their forwards aren't as strong or as deep, and their goaltending isn't as strong.

It's not equal minus a mental block, IMO.

I picked Pens in 5, but I think it will be a close 5. Sens can't keep winning series' where they don't have leads and don't even outscore their opponents over a 6 game set. The bounces are going to catch up to them.

If the Penguins can beat the Caps then they are unstoppable. As much as I hate to say it they will be the first back-to-back champs since Detroit almost 20 years ago.

I see this year's playoffs ending with ironic similarities and differences to last year. the penguins win the cup after their starting goalie is injured to start the playoffs and their backup takes the starter's job and doesn't give it up, just this year the roles are reversed.
the penguins play a California team in the finals that had been labeled chokers in the past, just this year it's a different California team.
what doesn't change is that the penguins dominate that team and win the cup!

I went Pens in 4. Haven't picked a sweep yet, and this seems like the most lopsided series to date.

To me, the only way the Senators have a chance is if Anderson stands on his head. With all the talk about smothering the other teams offense, they haven't faced any elite offensive threats yet, and now they are going up against two of the best players in the game as well as one of the most lethal snipers.
