Who to keep (definite non keeper names omitted):
    Dubinsky
    Carter
    Bailey
    Lee
    MacKinnon
    Zibanejad
    Barrie
    Karlsson
    Pastrnak
    Krieder
    M. Murray.

Guaranteed Keepers are Karlsson and Pasta. Pretty sure I should keep Murray too. So I am slightly torn on the last 2. I have had MacKinnon for 2 seasons now so leaning towards him (he can't continue to be that bad can he?) and I feel I should keep him. So last spot should be Krieder? Lee? Carter (plenty of C's always available)... Who would you keep?

    Karlsson
    Murray
    Kreider
    Pastrnak
    MacKinnon

A shame that Lee doesn't make the cut, I think he'll be good in this league format. I'm not buying a repeat for Carter's numbers

Keep 8 and positions don't matter. Lost in the ship the last 3 years....disgruntled.....obviously where some guys land might change things...

    Crosby
    Ovechkin
    Giroux
    Bergeron
    Pavelski
    Simmonds
    Josi
    Hall
    Shattenkirk
    Kadri
    Lundqvist
    Crawford
Crosby, Ovechkin, Pavelski, Josi, Hall, Shattenkirk, Crawford, Lundqvist. Though packaging Hall and Lundqvist for a better goalie like a Dubnyk, and then keep Simmonds would be nice

This one is too broad, so much to review. And what's a sleeper? A guy you expect 70 from and gets 90? A guy you expect 25 and get 50? I think Eichel will get more than expected, a lot more. But everyone knows him so is he a sleeper? So hard. And I guess Guentzel isn't a sleeper anymore, I'm very high on him. I also expect big things from some Florida players, I'd be hunting for deals on Huberdeau and Barkov if I can, they're oh so close to that breakout. Or what about deep deep sleepers - next year's Marchessault.... is that Jordan Weal? Maybe, but like Marchessault, he'd need a one-way deal, and then he'd need some luck with two key players getting hurt so he can get the ice time he needs (imagine if the Panthers didn't get hit with injuries - Marchessault would have had 25 points this year, tops - but now they've seen what he can do)

Anyway, just a broad question. I could write an answer for days

Keeper and cats are in my sig. Eichel is farm eligible until he is activated onto the main roster. The plan is go into the season with Max P, Pastrnak, Doughty, Holtby, Jones as keepers. Activate Eichel from my farm post draft, then keep Max P, Pasta, Eichel, Doughty and 1 of Holtby and Jones going forward.

    Would you do the same?

Thanks in advance or your input.

    - Stastny
    - Nyquist
    - Burakovsky*
    - Greiss*
    - Halak*
    - Varlamov
    - Pickard

I know I will most likely get a bit of insight from the NHL teams closer to my selection date (July 1st) but I would still love to hear what you think ATM. Thanks in advance for doing this!

    * These are the ones I'm leaning towards
You're already keeping two good goalies, so just keep one more - Greiss. His contract will ensure that he'll be given tons of opportunities. Other two players to keep for me would be Nyquist and Burakovsky.

    Giroux

    Boeser
    Keller
I think Giroux settles in as a 60-65 player like Corey Perry. I think Radulov improves next year and I'd pencil him in for 70 but all depends on the team. Boeser will make a good impact, maybe 45 points right off the bat. Three years from now BB will get to the high 60s. Keller same as Boeser, maybe expedited a bit.

Zucker tack on another five points next year, Staal remove five points. Coyle about the same. Moore is interesting - he's 26 and that was a career best. Can't stay healthy though and not enough PP time yet. For now, I'll assume 10 more games and another point or two. Lehner - I love Lehner's outlook. I think he'll finally reward his fantasy owners next year

What are your thoughts on Justin Schultz? Is this year an anomaly or has he turned a corner and can be consider a top 20 fantasy D man going forward.
He's established himself now and even with Letang taking PP time next year, Schultz will be fine. Not as good as this year, but close enough

7 teams, points only. Scoring and team in signature.
I'm thinking McDavid, Karlsson for sure. Then stuck on 3 forwards or 2 forwards and Holtby.
    McDavid, Karlsson, Murray, Holtby, Kucherov

Lots of good ones to choose from, but you definitely want two of the top goalies

I think Matthews improves by a couple of points, and Nylander or Marner will take a small step back, maybe five points likely due to injury games missed

I wonder if you could get Nik Ehlers plus a draft pick or two? Good ones, though. Probably equal points in the year ahead (given Malkin misses 15 games), and then Ehlers the better own in future seasons.

I'm still not completely clear as to what the rules entail - you have two keeper deadlines? What's the point? The players you list as keepers are your best five, and then when you include Eichel and knock out someone I would knock out Pacioretty and keep the two goalies

I think he'll get past 50 thanks to a bunch of hot/cold streaks. But the key is - he'll be on the roster throughout, no more AHL stints

I'm gonna close this thread now. I'm sorry I didn't hammer into it as quickly as I had planned. I will try to do another one next week.

Lots on the go right now - the server move is finally looming, I've been working hard on the Prospects Report, setting up the shop for another sales year, and working with Draft Kings to put together another deal (FYI - success! Details soon)
