    My nearly 78-year old dad is down to 190 after being as high as 252 last summer. Hell, he only weighs a couple more pounds than me.

    Wow that is awesome. Very good weight loss for a guy that age. I can't make any excuses now that is for sure lol. My dad is 71 and must be 140 lbs soaking wet. Was funny, one day he was getting mad at his kids "HOW COME IM SLIM AND ALL YOU GUYS ARE SO DAM FAT?" .... lol.

    Loosing 2 lbs per week is quite attainable, but keep in mind you will hit many plateaus in your journey where you don't loose any weight or perhaps gain a small amount. Don't get discouraged by these plateaus, they are part of the journey and is quite normal. Keep up the good work!!

    Thank you pitbulls. So far things have been going very smoothly but I remember what it's like when you feel like it's just not coming off. I got it in the back of my mind for sure.

    Another net positive week. Anything over 2 lbs I am happy with, that is at a 100~ lb pace for the whole year. I notice a difference already plus I feel very good. I have a 13 year old nephew who is almost as tall as me and is 200 lbs ... Would be weird to be at a lower weight than he is lol ... if I keep going at the pace I'm going I could catch him.

    I am turning 30 this summer so I figured I'm not going to be young forever and have really taken this weight loss to heart. My system is going very well .... 2000-2500 cals on Monday, 1500 on tuesday - friday and 1000 cals on saturday and sunday.

    Looking back at my stats from last year, my first 8 weeks I was trying to lose weight I lost 9.1 lbs. This time around (since new years) I've lost 18.4 lbs in 8 weeks.

    That's awesome progression Stunts!! Keep up the good work.. It's a tough thing getting into a routine of exercise and eating healthy and sticking to it.. I applaud your efforts!!

    I've really gotten into it this time around. Almost like an obsession. When I've reached my calorie intake and people start offering me food I almost want to get mad and say 'STOP TRYING TO GIVE ME FOOD, I DONT WANT IT!' lol. If I lost 100 lbs in a year I would be ecstatic ... big feather in my cap that I would carry with me for quite some time.

    I am down another 2.3 lbs and that makes it 24.9 lbs on the year. So basically at the 1/4 way point. So far it doesn't seem like that much time has went by. Time has flown so far and I'm not having too much trouble doing this. The one thing I gotten used to is saying no. I don't know how many times I've been asked if I wanted take out but I been saying no a lot. I've realized that like 80% of weight loss has to do with your diet. Exercise is a good tool to add in there but if your diet aint right then you won't lose weight. I remember I lost 50-60 lbs when I was 14 so I know I can do this and be in it for the long haul. Just had to get my head straight and stay focused. So far so good. Hope to keep it that way.
