He (mid '95) and his linemate (Adam Gaudette late '96 - 7th in scoring) are also 2-3 years younger than 7 of the other 8 players in the top 10 too. Makes him look even better...

I guarantee that this is not true. NCAA student-athletes are not allowed at NHL training camps. Bowman may have said that Sikura was impressive at the Blackhawks prospect camp but that is a big step from the Blackhawks training camp.

I do not know anything about Sikura's value as a prospect so I can't comment on that.

^^ Yup. The prospects training camp.

Sikura was one of the most impressive performers at this year's prospect camp. He wasn't considered one of the team's top prospects entering last season, but has taken a real step forward on the ice and clearly impressed Hawks officials last month. Here's what GM Stan Bowman recently said on the team's insider podcast with Eric Lear when asked about a player who stood out during camp:

"The guy I've noticed a lot is Dylan Sikura from Northeastern," Bowman said, via The Athletic's Scott Powers. "He had a great season this year. It was his sophomore season. His freshman year was a tough year for him. He didn't play much. He was having trouble getting into the lineup. Last year he almost had 30 points in college hockey. He sort of carried that over here. I've been impressed with his ability to make plays. He's a smaller player, but he's got great skill and quickness and playing-making."

Considering he doesn't have an NHL contract and is returning to Northeastern for the 2017/18 school year, I would say his chances of cracking the Blackhawks opening night roster are pretty much zero.

2 points in his debut. Didn't see the game but I'm sure he did good.

@StuntMan @Eric - Do you still have Sikura from your waiver claim as stated in this thread?

Still do. I got him in Comish's dynasty and in another points dynasty.

There have been inquiries on him but I held onto him with a good grip .... pretty amazing considering my trading history.

I watched most of the Blackhawk's game last night, and Sikura was speedy and creative. I picked him up in my keeper, but doubt I will keep him over more established guys like Simmonds or Little. Unless of course he continues to score two points a game in the final few games.

What do you guys expect of Sikura this season (production wise)?

I just traded Derek Stepan, Dylan Sikura for Eric Staal, Gustav Nyquist in a salary cap league.

I'm usually not too comfortable throwing around numbers but I could see him hover around 45-50 points (15g,35a.) He and DeBrincat built some chemistry quickly and Sikura could pile up assists if Quennville keeps them together for a good chunk of the year.
