Have an owner going after my tarasenko. His last offer was

Dubnyk

I declined just because I'm in a keep 5 so after this year it is really tarasenko for simmonds. I just made a move for Crawford so dubnyk would be a third option for me. This is right thinking for me right?

I figured I'd counter shooting for the moon and see if we can land in the middle. My counter:

Getting a first back is nice since I traded mine away to acquire karlsson earlier in the year. Would any of you buys make this move? Team and scoring in SIG and current keepers in Caps

First rounders in a keep 5 league are a big deal, but with your setup Tank is a beast. McDavid is probably the only way you're parting with him unless the other guy owns Benn, Seguin, Ovie, Crosby, Kane or Pavelski.

With goals worth twice as much as assists and a lack of multi-cat stats Tank might well be the most valuable player in your league... Simmonds' value takes a huge hit without hits and PIMs as well.

I always look at trades in terms of improving my keepers unless you're in a win now mode and the added depth in the trade will put you over the top. Neither Simmond nor Dubnyk would be keepers for you so unless the trade gives you a better chance of winning now I wouldn't do it. Will the 1st rounder fetch you something better than Tarasenko next year? Doubt it!
