Im just starting to watch this show. I finished ep2 and my guess is JJ Abrams or whatever his name is is already messing with flash forwards and flash backs.

It's very much like Lost in that sense.....but to an even higher degree. Im finding myself a bit annoyed how often its' characters have hidden knowledge that just happens to come out at the perfect time. It's like Littlefinger.....but x every character.

I haven't watched the newest season yet but stories regarding how the first season was shot partially explain why some characters were frustratingly aloof or cold all the time. Apparently the actors were largely kept in the dark for the first season. Ed Harris and Jimmie Simpson weren't aware of each others' character's arc or the connection between them and Anthony Hopkins was reportedly frustrated that no one would tell him his characters motivations, backstory, or end-game while filming episode to episode.
Have there been any samurai this season?
