I haven’t been this excited for a video game release in years. I have told everyone I know, that I will see them in several months...

Initial reviews are saying that this is amazing. One review said that this game could be added to the "Greatest video game of all time" category. I am so excited.

My pre-order will only arrive next week sometime, but I'm stoked.

It was available for pickup at 9pm last night at EB Games if you had it preordered. I didn't make it there because I heard the 100 GB disk download would take until midnight anyway.

    Today though......

10/10 on IGN is no surprise.

Have played the first chapter. Its above anything else visually in terms of an open world. The level of small detail is on par with The Last Of Us and the cutscenes, music, and slow pace of the start of the game are like a Quentin Tarantino movie. It has definitely been deserving of all the 10/10 reviews so far.

Comparisons to Assassins Creed Origins and Horizon Zero Dawn? I finished Assassins before the summer, and Just finishing the Frozen Wilds in Horizon Now.

Also want to pick up God of War, and debating Spiderman. Didn't play RDR1. RIP My social life lol.

Well.....while I did buy Origins I didn't finish it. Those games are way too repetitive for me. I have heard great things about Horizon Zero Dawn but never played it.

As for the other ones on your list......it depends what you're looking for.....

RDR2 is a massive, epic open world. You can and will get lost. Things take time and it's VERY realistic. But....so far I am obsessed with it.

God of War and Spiderman were two of the best games I ever played. They're both somewhat linear, with Spiderman being much shorter and "kid friendly". God of War was just hands down the most "into" a game I've been since Last of Us. Great story.

You really can't go wrong with those 3.

Somehow I missed your response. I appreciate the feedback, I’ve also been slammed with work the last month. I think I’m gonna pick up RDR and GOW over the holidays and start working through both. Might hold off Spider-Man for now

That would be my suggestion....although both games are pretty consuming so you've been warned.
