Anderson vs Smith

Who should I start this year? Craig Anderson (Ott) or Mike Smith (Arz)?
I was leening on Anderson as he's going to see less competition but are the Coyotes going to have a better season?

Anderson without question. Smith is only good for saves leagues

Craig Anderson for me as well. Smith could have a bit of a bounce back, but I agree with Sheik that Smith is most useful in volume leagues, of which this is definitely not one, as it counts losses too.

If so I would consider starting Smith. Anderson has a pattern going of being injured every other year in Ottawa... and he played a lot last year.

I would take the guy who is not as injured as often in Smith.

However if you can change when a player gets injured... then Anderson is the guy you start at the start of the year.

I have to decide a player to start at the beginning of the year(today!), but then the back-up start to count when the starter is injured...
So I'll go with Anderson and if he's again injured, Smith's points will start to be counted while he's out. Win-Win solution, thanks to all!

Arizona will be significantly improved from last year. If you look at Smith's numbers pre-injury last year he was stellar. They added Goligoski & Schenn, the shots should start to come down.

Give me Smith, he's the better goalie and Arizona will be better than Ott as well.
