I love the Ghost, but it appears Provorov & Streit are both cutting teeth on his real estate from last season. I think with these two going and healthy, it's going to lower expectations a little bit. 60's going to be a stretch, but I still feel confident in him hitting 50. That said, it's early... he could put up 10 in 5 games and change everyone's thoughts once again.

Do you mean to say that it is possible that they might cut teeth on his real estate from last season? So far he's averaging 21:15 on ice this year vs. 20:05 last year, and has been on the ice for 73.5% of power play time so far this season (84.6% last game). It doesn't appear that he is really losing any ground up to this point, unless you are looking at a different metric than time on ice and power play time.

2015-16 – 61.9% of the time started in the offensive zone
2016-17 – 68.7% of the time started in the offensive zone

His total shot attempts/game has increased. (5.33 vs 6.5), his SOG has increased (2.34 vs 2.8). I guess the Flyers are leaning into the fact he’s offensive and not trying to make him into a more well-rounded defenseman.

That’s the best saying ever, I use it too much now.

I seriously had my doubts Gost would actually do well this yr because the Flyers would try and not protect him, but he’s making me totally change my mind on him. I’m happy I grabbed him in the 7^th round now (like 100^th overall). He kept dropping and I couldn’t not take him

Yeah.. I don't have time currently to look up the stats. Can't argue with those, my point was more based on the fact that - last year he was the only option, this year the Flyers have three.

Not many members of the forum will hope you are 100% correct more than me. However, I have been well trained as a Flyers fan. Things like that never work our perfectly for us. This is why I dont think it will happen. The creator hates us and wants us to feel pain as is my experience as a Flyers fan.

The Philadelphia power play has been on fire. Giroux, Voracek, Simmonds and Ghost are the staples. It is looking good for the kid so far. Still a long season to go though. That said, I think he has a good chance to post over 50 points this year if he stays healthy.

Gostisbehere will definitely hit 50 points. I just think that in order for him to hit 60, as per the thread title, things will have to go very well for the Flyers and I dont see that happening throughout the entire 82 games. This is because s/he is a cruel and vengeful creator.
