    Default Joffrey Lupul

Joffrey Lupul hasn’t played for the Maple Leafs since February 2016, and it appears he won’t be with the team come October after a physical exam reportedly revealed he’s not fit to suit up.

Nope not at all... I'd be really shocked if he plays another game for the Leafs.

I'm thinking the same. He probably has to retire due to his condition, and it will probably be similar to what happened to Robidas.

Marner's chance of sticking goes up significantly here. One less competent roster body in front of him.

lol such a scam. he must be suffering from Robidas-itis, where you are perfectly fine but keep waking up in the middle of the night and seeing images of Lamorello holding a pickaxe

Hoping this helps Leivo stick actually on the wing.

I almost feel like Leivo has been forgotten in all they hype of the other prospects. I also hope Leivo takes that next step and sticks. Great speed, shot, energy. Babs should like him.

I don't see MIchalek or Greening lasting the season with the leafs - Michalek less so than Greening - Greening is a Babcock style player.

I'm really hoping they throw a cheap 1-2 year offer at Laich and keep him as the 4th line C. At 2m or 2.5m per he's a really solid option there. Not to mention his personal character is EXACTLY what this young team needs to be looking up to. His leadership and character alone is worth 2m a season for this team. But I digress away from Lupul.

Possibly the longest thread on Lupul in 3 years.

Thing is though Leivo is now on a one-way contract, I don't think he gets through waivers this season if he doesn't make the team. The Leafs camp is going to be actually quite interesting to watch for once to see how it shakes out.

Lou removed that and it's Leafs Troops or something. He doesn't like things run/named after one person. It's putting the player above the team.

Like the program still is running. but i dont think it's lupes troops.

    Kessel, Phanuef, Clarkson, Lupul....

Hands up if you thought there was ever going to a way to get rid of all of these salaries from the cap.

Now they've just got that Bozak albatross (aside from the ones they took on knowingly like Horton).
