jcairns has been impressive again... doing what I want to do... trading away his goalies for big returns.
    Three-peat looks probable.

    I'm shooting for top six.
From 8 goalies two weeks ago... down to 1 (Budaj, with just 10goalie games left)

We'll see how much of the skater deficit I can make up in 7 weeks of NHL hockey.
    Currently at:
    C (-9)
    LW (-12)
    RW (-13)
    D (-58)
    G (+36)

I don't think I can make up my D deficit... that's fitting in an extra 8gp per week... which would be rostering a D7 and D8 both playing non-conflicting 4gp weeks.
I can make up the forward GP.

    We shall see.
My goal is to try to sneak into the top six... which will be hard since it's at 72pts right now.
That's a +21pt rise over 7 weeks. ugh, we shall see.

Peng, I have to say, I have been intrigued by this strategy and wondered what you were going to do. It should be an interesting final few weeks of the season. If that 6th place manager is over the games pace in a few positions *ahem*, maybe you have a chance!

I've been very passionate about seeing if I could turn around this team.
The draft was a busy time in my life and I missed it... only finding out about it because I was checking my fantasy football team on a Sunday (or Monday?) night.

The autodraft fetched me McDavid (good), but then took Gaudreau (who I thought was overrated) as well as Kopitar, Couture (center is too deep for those guys), Keith and Ghost (who many know I called as "overranked/overvalued").
From experience in leagues with more than 12 GMs... people just do NOT hit their goalie Max GP.... so I knew that was my only chance to save this team. I rostered between 8-10 goalies for most of the season.
As it stands, it could be that only myself (10th/13) and jcarins (who rose to 1st on a strategy with almost NO solid goalie, but a great, great patchwork) - hit 160+ goalie gp.

In mid-Nov, I made my first big move, sending McDavid/Howard(hot, but soon injured) for Marchand/Wheeler.
Wheeler caught fire fast and Marchand soon after. McDavid has been very good, but C is deep, deep, deep this year.

In mid-Dec, I saw signs that Ghost was in trouble and got an offer for Krejci and just took it. Ghost has been awful since Nov.

And recently moving 7 goalies: Lehtonen/Niemi, Raanta, Vasilevskiy, Grubauer/C.Johnson/Darling
Point of that exercise was actually just to distribute the goalies as best possible so that teams don't really move in standings.
I purposefully was able to ask for less talent, just to chase skater GP.

As our teams are linked, I've been watching your league too.
Knowing that top six from either side should make up the future top division... I'm gonna cry to miss out on the elite-level competition.

I'm right here guys! I'll be selectively sitting players hoping that I don't miss out on any big games.

Haha I knew you'd appear! It should be an interesting stretch run, including the battle at the top.
