MTL ran him out of town as a player. With his pride, he won't let it happen as a coach.

Sakic was probably Lady Bing like and offered Roy the chance to leave the organization or he was going to get fired!

LOL! I was fine with it before. This didn't change much for me.

Doesn't change much for me either. Still a good deal for both sides (until the puck drops and then we'll really see).

It will be fun to see what the team can do with a different coach though. I am most curious though to see what this does to Tyson Barrie.

I would say it helps out Rantanen, Barrie and maybe even Varlamov owners. Of course you still want Pickard for the handcuff.

+Rantanen. I hope. We will see.

Who can replace Roy? Are there out some good "Free agent" coaches?

Zadorov might also be sneaky more valuable. And for those not sure whether MacKinnon could really see his value surge, here's what I said in my cage match column from the end of March: During MacKinnon’s 24 points in 24 games to start this season, he had 20:00+ in Ice Time 15 times (seven times 21:00+), while in 48 games since then, he’s crossed the 20:00 threshold only 14 times (just four of 21:00+).
