The where does JIMMY VESEY sign game (for rep)

So boys and girls its August and a little light on hockey news so I thought we could play a little game. Which team does Vesey sign with and perhaps more importantly why ?

I am going to go with the NYR

Why ?
They signed Hayes
They have McDonagh, Stepan, Kreider all on the club
NYR has the cap space to make the offer as well thanks to the Brassard deal

Because that's where he really wants to go. He was born in Boston. He went to Harvard. It is his home town.

Boston, he loves it there and has had nothing but good things to say about the team. He grew up a Bruins fan from what I've read so he would be fulfilling a lifelong dream

I would be surprised if he signed somewhere other than Boston. 6mill in space, and your competing for minutes vs Beleskey, Hayes, Pasternak, and Randell. No way he’s not a top 6 in their lineup. Plus he then gets to play with Krejci or Bergeron (or Backes in the worse situation).

That would be quite entertaining, however it doesn't really make sense, since he would have signed there for a chance to win the cup if he really wanted to.

I agree with Doug, Boston for the same reasons, home town, roots.... bloody roots. it will be a north east team as he's said that's where he wants to play. But I can't see it turning out any other way.

My runner up, is the Leafs - I think as a secondary option seeing the prospects coming up with Vesey he could see himself jumping into the middle of this team and rising with them.

but it's still the Bruins.
