Seems there's a hole there in their top-6 and it will be up to several young prospects to fill it? Who is the top contender? Thoughts?
Pacioretty - Galchenyuk - Gallagher
Radulov - Plekanec - ( Anybody... could be Shaw, Andriguetto, Danault, Byron, Carr.)
One sure thing, I will not take anybody outside the top 5 in my drafts. !!

Yeah I agree it could be a carousel of guys playing in that top 6th slot. I personally see Gallagher and Radulov splitting the 1/2 RW positions. Think it's better to have them play where they're used to or have had success first before trying to move them over and THEN mix it up with the top 6th, but Therrien will likely do this anyway...
Don't see Shaw being a top-6 guy personally, whether or not he'll play there.
Should change the question to who will be the top 6th forward?
Considering Therrien is the coach I would bet on all fourth liners getting top six spots before any rookie even gets a sniff of over 8 minutes of ice time
But considering that: McCarron and Hudon would be my best guess

I can't list my 2nd main keeper as there are too many players, but it is a keep all H2H points-only league
Carr(LW) and Andrighetto(RW) both saw time in the top 6, in part to injury, but once they got their shots they stuck there until the team got healthy again.
They could see time again in the top 6.
For LW2, my bet is on Carr getting the first crack, but the gambling man in me thinks Lehkonen might be able to take that spot
Something like this:
Pacioretty - Galchenyuk - Gallagher
Lehkonen/Carr - Plekanec - Radulov
Carr/Byron - Desharnais - Shaw
Byron - Mitchell - Andrighetto

They paid Lars Eller the almost the same amount to play on the third line.
I personally see Shaw on the third line with PP2 time, maybe a bit of PP1.
But you're right, I think there's a lock for 5 out of the 6 forwards and that 6th one could be a rotation of any of those guys depending on the need vs the opponent.

For fantasy purposes, a coach that is determined to play everyone 14 minutes a night, good bad or ugly, is a situation I want to stay away from.
- I said... "God damn this tablet is heavy!"
Big rumour on twitter the last couple of days is Hudler has been spotted in Montreal with his agent, I doubt he signs and rounds out the top 6 but everything else has been said here so.....

I came across this article recently that could provide some insight on potential line combinations in Montreal.

If they can have their worst start in recent history and get Therrien canned by November, then 'Associate Coach' Muller can take over and maybe getting them to punch above their weight. Otherwise it's going to be a long season indeed.

Carr, Andrighetto, Lehkkonen and Hudon I figure stand the best chance to fill the last spot on the top 6. Thats not to say Shaw won't spend a good chunk of the season there. Of the 4 listed above, I give them 4 shifts into game one to score a goal before Therrein demotes them to the doghouse.
Hudler to Montreal requires someone moving out (like Emelin or Desharnais which are tricky to move). Currently, the Habs are maxed out at 50 pro contracts. They are also light on cap space. This is likely just be the Habs doing due diligence for potential trade down the road if they are playoff threats or sitting in a playoff spot. I'm not sure I would read too much into this.
Wild love to see some more of Andrighetto.... As others have said though with Therrien he won't make it easy predicting or knowing if they play any length of time in that top 6
Experience is the teacher of all things.
