Default Merkley or Eriksson Ek - Who is more valuable long-term?

Robber Prospects Report has Eriksson Ek on the three top-50 lists... and Merkley isn't on them. (Dobber, Consensus, Harling). They also have similar upsides. Thinking I need to part with one.

Who do you think has the fastest route to the NHL? Who will have the biggest impact long term?

    Thanks

I think that Eriksson Ek might arrive sooner, but Merkley does have a higher ceiling.

Merkley has a higher ceiling, but also a boatload of young forward prospects and/or roster players to beat for a top 6 spot whereas Eriksson Ek has a lot of roster players to beat (less quality forward prospects in Minny than in Arizona). Merkley has also had some injury trouble so has the Band-Aid Boy threat ahead.

    IMO :

Merkley = higher upside, but higher risk due to both the forward prospects depth and injury concern.
    On a fantasy hockey break.

I'm with you on that. I take Merkley and swing for the fences.
