Better goalie prospect
Saros has a much faster road to the NHL, considering Rinne's injury history...
I like Samsonov more as a goaltender, but Saros is a couple years older and will have a chance to replace Rinne a lot sooner than Samsonov will replace Holtby.
I'd go with Samsonov, and it's not even close. But Saros probably gets some NHL games earlier.

In terms of talent Samsonov is the better goalie, but its a long wait for him to come over and that's IF he does. Saros though is NHL bound no matter what. His biggest knock on him is his 5'-11" size but every level he has gone to he has excelled. I would go with Saros for that reason alone.
[I]12 Team Salary Cap Keeper:
Fowards: Points Only
Defenseman: Points & .1 points for hits and BS
Goalies: 2 pts for win & 3 pts for shutout.
Is Ilya Sorokin unanimously better than these two in y'all's opinion?

I can't list my 2nd main keeper as there are too many players, but it is a keep all H2H points-only league
So by talent,
Samsonov
Sorokin
Saros
However Saros might be the one to get his shot way sooner than the others, no?
In terms of how quickly one will make an impact, I almost expect:
Saros (though he has to unseat Rinne and I don't know if they can trade that contract or...buy him out?!)
Sorokin (has to cross the pond and the Isles have to not re-up any of their guys next year)
Samsonov (behind that kind of talent in Holtby, who knows..)
I guess we'll know next year....? When it's too late to snap the "right" one up at low cost lol.

I'd love to take Samsonov here, but man it's going to be a lengthy wait on him. We're looking at minimum 2018-19 before he's backing up Holtby. Pretty reasonable to expect that we don't see him as a starter in the NHL until 2021-22 or 2022-23.
Saros will steal starts as soon as this year and knowing Rinne, he could get some good stretches during injury relief.
