Looks like he's set to play for the Wolfpack next season. Was he drafted by the Rangers? I'm not sure how that all works. Decent numbers.

He was undrafted. I believe he's on an AHL contract. He would have to be signed to an ELC first before he can be called up to an NHL team. I don't have high hopes for this player TBH.

I watch a few highlights on him. Scouting report on him is he's not overly quick. The offensive upside is there but not much of a chance to reach full potential.

I remember him a bit from the National Championship two seasons ago. Nice hands and a good shot, but as you mentioned his skating is not the greatest. That's something that can obviously be improved, but he's likely a third liner if he ever makes the jump to the NHL.

When you get to lower-tier prospects opportunity is so important. Oksanen is 23 and did not get an ELC while many other college free agents did. To me that says a lot about how he's perceived by NHL teams.
