Tho I think the guy the Habs really want is Dubois, for obvious reasons.
As a diehard Oilers and subban fan, Id trade anything but McDavid to get him in orange and blue.

....yea thats pretty bad, the Oilers can toss in Mark Fayne only half kidding he could be the Habs #5 for 1 remaining year on his contract, and if its Leon going to Mtl, the Habs gotta take on a lil salary back even if its just 1 year of Fayne. Price can make a bad defense look pretty decent. The Habs will have #9 still, can draft a dman for the future

....clearly theres something going on behind the scenes with subban, there always has been. Ive heard some stories....1 guy claims to know a trainer who told a scout who told a different scout who told my dad who told me kinda hearsay...but they all involve subban not getting along with all his teammates. could be true, could be complete bs, im guessing its somewhere in the middle

Seeing Bartley in Nashville, I can vouch that I like his development curve and could be a nice second pairing guy as early as next season (not a high offensive projection though). I do agree that Montreal wouldn't have a great defensive core with this kind of deal, but it could be that they think they can re-sign Markov, and that they don't need stars in front of Price to be successful if they can score.
Not likely, but it's a thought.

Sounds like the start of a long uphill slog to me, or at least it should be. Hall/Eberle would be a good starting point.
