I think NWO is thinking of the MAF from 3 or 4 years ago, when he constantly melted down in the playoffs, not the sterling MAF who's the only reason the Pens didn't get blown out of the water in the playoffs the last 2 years prior to this one.

You are correct. That is the MAF that's etched in my memory. I stand corrected and rescind my earlier comment if he has in fact put that behind him.

I don't think MAF is a terrible option. He should cost next to nothing considering I would expect the Penguins would much prefer to protect Murray.

It's an expensive option though, considering we're already looking at buying out Lehtonen, which I consider likely to near-certain.

It's not a terrible option, but also not the option that I'd prefer.
