What's the latest on this guy? Still contemplating an NHL return? Latest update I have is that he supposedly signed a KHL extension, but his agent denied that.

Is he worth holding in deep dynasty leagues?

His contract is up this year, so until he has a new one there's a chance he lands in the NHL next season. Not a big chance, but a non-zero chance. If he comes over he'd immediately step in for 50-60 points, so if you can spare a roster spot to speculate on him coming back over it'd pay off a lot more than most of the 'new to the NHL' prospects that everyone will be drooling over in the offseason.

In a deep dynasty league you're typically holding on to prayers with very little hope anyway so why not hold on to a prayer with a track record putting up points in the NHL?

That's my thought too, considering I can either roster him or a random 4th liner. That said, it takes a toll on ya mentally when you have to constantly look at that scoreless lump taking up space on your roster. He has to be held in an active spot, so I'm technically playing with a bench 1 less than everyone else.

My feeling is that the only way that Radulov ends up back in the NHL is if the KHL implodes. I think he's made up his mind that the whole NHL thing isn't for him.

I could be wrong but that's how I see it. The only way that I'd carry him is if it cost me little or no inconvenience whatsoever.

Shouldn't he be minors-eligible if he's not in the NHL?

Not in our league... only minors-eligible if you're part of an NHL organization with under 100 career GP, or if you're actually in the minors.

    Isn't April Fool's coming up?

I still can taste the tears of GMs after that kerfuffle.

IIRC, the "Radulov returns to the NHL!" one has already been done.

EDIT: Nevermind, that's the one you were talking about.

I tweeted at Igor Eronko a few weeks ago. He confirmed no KHL extension for Radulov but CSKA is/will be trying to re-sign him.
many teams would love to get him on a cheap 1 year "show me" deal but I doubt he has any interest in anything under 5mil for that potential one year deal and a multi-year deal would be pretty risky IMO.

    Ha! Awesome.

He's a UFA as far as I can tell. He fulfilled his rookie contract at the end of 2012 or 2013 whenever that was, and Preds never extended him an offer after that whole suspension debacle w/Kostitsyn

    Let the offseason rumours fly!

If you have an extra spot on your roster and are looking to next year, add him now. Worst comes to worst you're dropping him and churning the spot in August/September... best case scenario you just had a 60+ point player drop into your lap.

Anything fresh on Radulov... I seem that Toronto is a false rumor... And that some russian medias are paid to start rumors...

Difficult to have an honest infomation on the subject.

As a Nashville fan I can say he was nothing but disappointing when he joined for our playoff run a couple years ago. Good riddance, he can stay in the KHL.
