Default Which RW is definitely NOT a keeper?

See my team and format in the signature.

I am running high on RW games in my league and am way under on D thanks to OEL/Carlson/Byfuglien/Vlasic vacations over the last while. Of all non-D players on my team, I feel like David Perron is the most droppable, but Anaheim is about to hit a VERY soft stretch in their schedule with a lot of teams begging to be scored on. So if I'm resigned to rostering DP for a while, who do I drop? We keep one skater from each position (CRLD) and then two other players from any position (definitely Price and Holtby for me). So I can really only keep one RW. I'm trying to sort out which of the following a) is definitely not keeper-worthy and b) has a rough schedule down the stretch. I'll list them in order of "most likely to keep" to "most likely to drop". Agree or disagree? Comments?

    1) Wheeler
    2) Hornqvist
    3) Carter
    4) Johansen
    5) MacKinnon
    6) Eberle

It's really hard to sort these guys - there's no clear keeper to me here. I think Eberle has to go.

I am a little confused by your post. Are you dropping someone to pick someone up (another D) or just dropping someone because you dont feel they will be a keeper?

This is a 'keep 6' league.. Who are your keepers other then: Price, Holtby, Stamkos, and Gaudreau??

Dropping a RW to pick up a D. Positions have caps on number of games. I am playing too many RW games and not enough D. I will be keeping Stamkos, Holtby, Gaudreau and Price. Weber or Carlson as well.

I agree, and this is why I asked the question about keepers.

If neither Hornqvist or Eberle are going to be keepers at the end of this year, I can see a reason to drop Eberle and hold Hornqvist for now. At least Hornqvist has three more remaining games compared to Eberle.

Agree with above - check on games left to play - you can gain 2-5 games with the right pick-up. Drop Eberle.

But didn't he say he was running high in games played for RW? This is why I value Eberle over hornqvist. Bigger bang for your games played (if you believe Eberle with McD will produce more than Horn.)

I just figured with fewer RW games to play, he'd want to steer away from watering games down with a less valuable Horn.

I have 21 total RW games left to play.
The splits are (in fantasy points per game average)
Hornqvist (1.0 on the season, 1.4 last month, 0.8 last fortnight, 1.1 last week)
Eberle (0.7 on the season, 0.6 last month, 0.3 last fortnight, 0.9 last week)

I can't see how you are justifying dropping Horny over Eberle. And yes I've always wanted to use the word fortnight.

What about the recent injury to MacKinnon's knee? It could keep him out longer than expected. I'm especially thinking that is the case as the Avs are being very tight lipped about it. The team only has 10 games left so even if he misses half of them, it is still a big blow.

The only reason I'd hold on to MacK is in case I want to keep him for next season over Wheeler. His dead weight potential for this season is high though.

Didn't Perron get injured tonight? That might answer your question

maybe he's suggesting added value for Horn if Perron isn't around.

    I don't know.
