Anyone wondering if Boudreau is going to let one goalie run with it until the end of the season or is he going to play eeny, meeny, miny, moe through the playoffs? He really needs to attend a goalie management class. More of a rant I guess than a question.

I wouldn't expect anything to change anytime soon. Of course, if one guy gets uber hot, he'll see more of the net but the leash will remain relatively short for both goalies for the time being I feel.

I'm nut sure I'd say BB is handling it wrong either. Neither guy has truly taken the ball and ran with it effectively enough to fully bump the other into the back up role.

At this point, I feel Gibson is likely to get leaned on first, but not the most convenient owns in weekly start leagues in particular.

If you have owned either/both goalies for any amount of time, you are well aware that no one knows the answer to this question.

I dont even think Boudreau knows the answer to this question.

Which leads me to think that Anaheim is going to be in trouble come playoff time. Just a gut feel on this one. I do own Andersen and tried to pry Gibson away from his owner earlier in the season but he wouldn't budge.

For now the patern is 2 games Gibson - 2 games Andersen. No matter if they win or loose.
So tomorrow it's Gibson and Sunday back to Andersen.

The only b-to-b left is on the last week-end so I can imagine the patern stay till the end of season. Unless 1 gets hurt.

    First time ever...... a pattern!

Although Andersen's been 3-1 in last 4 vs. Gibson 1-3... and last 2 months Andersen has been better too.

BB strategy is a lot like the underwear gnomes lately:

    1. Practice
    2. Goalie: ?????
    3. Win game

This is a stretch, but I just wanted someway to shoehorn this clip in hahah

I was just looking at their stats and in March they have both played 4 games, both let in 8 goals and have an almost identical save % (.926 for Gibson and .927 for Andersen). The pattern looks to be more about better goal support for Andersen than Andersen outperforming Gibson. Be interesting to see if they continue the two games cycle for each into the playoffs.

Same thing I was going to post. I don't think Andersen has been playing better than Gibson, but that the Ducks have been playing better in front of him. Somewhat reminiscent of the first of the year when Andersen was top ten in the league Save% and GAA, but had 0 wins. He was playing well, but the team in front of him disappeared. I think he lost 2 games by a 1-0 score.

With Andersen getting the start tonight, are we to expect that Gibson is back in net on Sunday? The goalie rotation was working out perfectly for me to have Gibson start tonight and Andersen start on Sunday since I have Rinne and Nashville doesn't play this weekend. Hoping for the best that Andersen plays well tonight and gets the call in net again on Sunday. Positive thinking

Shutout for Andersen! Though with BB, it'll be Gibson in net on Sunday

Andersen is an RFA after this season. What are the odds he stays in Anaheim? As an Anaheim owner his usage has been annoying but at least he is my #3 goalie (Lundy, Scheider)

I don't even know what a good landing spot for Andersen. Islanders? Ottawa?
