    Default Varlamov or Mrazek

Hey guys I have an issue coming up....who would you keep as your 2 goalies going forward in a keeper pool. I have Marzek/varlamov/bob. I need to not protect one come years end and really struggling with who to stick with. Thanks

    Really tough call...

If you're feeling really frisky, you could let go of Bobrovsky and hope that his injury-riddled season has people scared.

At the same time that could just as easily backfire if someone realizes how much of a buy-low candidate he is now.

    What are your settings?

When do you have to make your decision? If it's now, I would say to protect 1) Mrazek (best option from the 3) and 2) Varlamov (better team for years to come). I have not thrown the towel on Bob though, but as bondon said, I'm pretty sure most managers will pass him over come draft time so you may be able to grab him as your 3rd goalie next year.

On the other hand, if you can wait a little before confirming your selection, try to see how Varly carries his team and if Bob has any setbacks...

Keep Mrazek 100%. Between Varlamov and Bobrovsky, if it were my team I'd keep Varlamov.

    I agree with Mrazek.

However for your next goalie I am going to throw some love Bob's way. No reason other than I just think he's the better goalie. However Varly is on the better team so it's a toss up. In those instances I always pick the better overall player

Mrazek for sure. Coin toss between Varlamov and Bobrovsky. Bob's numbers haven't been over great the last two years, but Varly seems to go through stretches of poor play and loss of confidence. Both have similar contracts with a young goalie that will be pushing them for starts. I'd probably lean more towards Bob, just because I think he's the better goalie. Varly's team situation does look brighter, but the addition of a player like Matthews or one of the Finnish wonder wings would go a long way to making Columbus respectable within the life of Bob's contract, especially with that young defence.

well last nights varlamov shutout didn't help me much lol....thank you all for your replies. Bondon the settings are w/gaa/sv%/SO and I have 3 weeks to decide before making my final decision....all I can hope for is a bob injury which will help me stay under 2000min and then I can keep all three!
