I would assume it has to do with his pending contract status. He's a pending RFA at seasons end and they dont want to pay him.

Thats what i am hearing all week that several teams want Pirri. He got no spot in the top 6 anymore and he isnīt useful in the bottom six. So it makes sense to deal him while he holds value.
