Purcell has to go to a western team. They must react to all the moves the Blackhawks made. I'd say LA or ANA...

i just can't see anyone trading for schultz this year. theyd have to qualify him at 4M next season right? i think he sticks with the oilers this season and then signs as a UFA somewhere in the summer. hopefully this time he picks a better team, it could be his last shot.

Given Gaborik's injury, I can see Purcell to LA for something like Derek Forbort and a low pick.

I could see this as well. Purcell did start his career with LA, so there is some familiarity there.

Schultz on the Kings would presumably have ZERO fantasy value, which stinks. I was hoping a move to Tampa, Florida, etc. where he could actually get a fresh start and some PP time right out of the gate. Tampa was interested, and maybe with Hedman's injury, they make the move - hoping at least.

Doughty is the only right-shooting D in the Kings regular group on the PP, so Schultz could conceivably see some time during those rare moments when Doughty is not on the ice.

Exactly. Those rare moments, ugh. Doughty is a PP staple. Schultz is a poor ES option.
