I am thinking of trading either Crawford or Bishop in a deal for Tavares.

Which goalie do you think would be the better own going into the next few years and why?

Next few years? Crawford. I think he leads the 2nd tier of goalies and this year has been providing near-elite production. And there is no one that is going to challenge him in the system. I do think it's close though and wouldn't criticize someone at all for picking Bishop.

CC for me. A workhorse and on a very solid team for the foreseeable future. Bishop's little tweaks here and there annoy me and Stammer's uncertainty would scare me off of Bishop in this case..
Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.

Crawford for me.. Even if CC has a rough game, he is back in there the next night.. The same can't be said for Bishop..

Vasilevskiy is the future starter in TB, Chicago doesn't have a future starter with that kind of pedigree..

Crawford. He has the Hawks in front of him, he has the long-term contract, thats about as safe a play at G as there is in fantasy. Definitely hang onto him.

It's a misconception that the Hawks are inflating Crawford's stats. The Hawks give up 30.6 shots per game which is in the bottom 3rd of the league and in the area of Arizona, Buffalo, and Edmonton. The Hawks themselves are averaging exactly 30.6 shots themselves a game. The Hawks have given up more scoring chances than they have earned and are just middle of the pack for scoring chances allowed. And their possession game is nowhere near where it was in the past. They are a slight positive for team Corsi and a negative Fenwick. Where the Hawks are doing well is scoring. They are 5th in the league in scoring which can largely be attributed to Kane and Panarin. Granted, the Hawks scoring contributes to the amount of shots they allow since teams are often trying to comeback against them.

So all of this Crawford is the modern day Chris Osgood is a bunch of garbage. The Hawks are not making Crawford a better goaltender. Crawford is making the Hawks an upper tier team. Crawford is benefiting from a high scoring team in front of him but he is making a lot of saves and getting his team wins. The MVPs on the Hawks for 2 years in a row are Kane and Crawford.
