Default Who is this year's surprise 2nd-half stud?

Aka, Mark Stone of 2014-15 or Palat of the previous year -- someone who emerges not just as a 50-60 guy, but someone at or close to a point a game, who was an afterthought in all but the deepest leagues in the first half.

Speaking selfishly, here are the free agents in my league:

    Zibanijad
    Hertl
    Versteeg
    Namestnikov
    Horvat
    Pouliot
    Couturier
    Burakovsky
    Bennett
    Hagelin
    Perron
    Non-keeper 11-team auction league with 5 active forwards, two D. Points only (G=1, A=1)

The world does not judge actions on their own merit, but on their chance results, and they consider that only those actions which are blessed with a happy outcome have been undertaken with sound advice and reason

I'll take Namestnikov or maybe Hertl, but I'd doubt either would accomplish what Stone managed.

Of that list. Hertl if he sticks with the Joe's line.
Sam Bennett if he keeps his confidence up. So much talent

I just can't trust Bennett not to go dark again. I carried him earlier in the year when he was red-hot and he turned off like a light switch. I think he's going to have to age a little more.

I'd go with Perron. I think he'll do really well in Anaheim

For my money i think it's Hertl. It would definitely be him if he could get on pp#1. I am sorely tempted to use my last waiver wire pick on him except that's my injury protection, and i don't know if i'll need that pick for defence or forward.

Hertl. Just picked him up in one of my deep bench leagues.

In a one-year I'd probably gamble on Versteeg. Proven scorer.

Hertl would probably be my second choice. Namestnikov and Bennett probably come after that for me.

Another vote for Hertl, he has the highest upside and is in the best spot right now. Seems to have really good chemistry with Joe and Joe. The only thing missing for him is PP1 time.

Namestnikov for me if you're looking for a home run hit.

Also, which Bennett is that on your list? Sam Bennett has a real chance but I'd still take a broom stick over Beau Bennett.

Dude, Mika Zibanejad no contest. Guaranteed top 6 center ALWAYS with quality wingers in Ryan, Stone, Hoffman. Power play time this is a no brainer, I am about to trade him and Frederik Andersen for Rinne and it is hard to part ways.

J.T. Miller would be a nice addition if he's able to be had. ( I know he's not on your list ).

I believe the OP is looking for more of a home-run swing like Stone was last season. Zibanejad is a reliable 50-some-odd-point guy for the reasons you mentioned, but I don't think he's that guy.

Like I said everyone's advice is solid by no means am I saying what I am advising trumps all just my viewpoint. For instance you see Mika as a reliant guy and you're right he is but I see a 22 year old on the verge of the breakout with increased point totals every season so far. Other guy likes Lee more than my Holden it's fine I respect his view
