Howdy,

If you’re looking for s’more hockey I and a handful of other responsible GM’s, who do not have enough hockey in our lives : ) are seeking to start up a league. It’ll be a salary cap, dynasty hosted by Fantrax. Ads will be posted on Dobber – HF boards – and Fantrax forum. The aim is to have at least 20-24 GM’s – if the interest isn’t there we’ll run with less than that – if its greater we’ll run with upto 30 (please voice your preference). Atm there are 7 GM's including myself.

The focus above hockey wits and managerial savvy and of slight more importance, is responsible conduct. There will be a commissioner but apart from infrequent administrative stuff he wants to be uninvolved in that capacity. There will be no toleration of rude behavior – irresponsible conduct. No one will have to wait days for response to offers, emails other correspondence. No immaturity in any capacity will be tolerated - behave like a tantruming child - get ear pulled out the door like one.

Being goofy is encouraged : ) Being absent cause of life happenings is no trouble or bother – we all have stuff pop up that cannot be avoided. Sports holds no value when the trials of life call, great and small. Overtime at work or all manner of things far more serious. Hockey a passion, we get involved in sports cause of that passion and the free time we feel we’re able to dedicate to such an involved venture. We, least in this league, keep all things in perspective - it will not be a schoolyard.

We will run a separate forum if everyone feels it’s a good idea - mostly for archival purposes but if there is passion to this end it’d be great for anyone with the initiative to make it a hockey wonderland-central : ) News feed, playoff picture – award voting, stuff like that. If its done by committee it wouldn’t be a draw on time/energy for any one GM. I think if one sees another doing something it would be infectious – this is a wish more than a necessity, perhaps a dream on my part lol, certainly not a necessity to having a great fun place to login to.

If this sounds like a place you’d like to dedicate some of your life and your energy to get away from the world – your time, your effort will be handled as the precious commodity it is.

If enough interest comes of the ads – we’ll send updates with the current size of the league and launch date. If it’s possible and every one is willing to start up the league for the remainder of this season we’ll do that- this is my aim.

It would afford the time to discuss whatever changes, tweaks - to get things set up with a forum and set-up in general. Have everything settled , ready to just jump into next season - avoiding summer vacations, ass-draggy 2 month long drafts. Folks are indoors more during winter : ) And, of course, why not have a little more hockey this season

We're up to 18 - possibly 19. Taking off 20 - We will be starting with the remainder of this season for some fun, getting to know everyone and working out any kinks. Draft starts once we're full boat

Our prospect draft is on hold atm - lots of goodies available, every draft class up to and including the 2015 class

The rules are detailed but straight forward.

Some stuff about us:

It will be balanced through different styles of players - every player has a value to a team, every skill has a value to a team and the scoring will reflect those traits.

Coupled with the good GM character and knowledge this league is intended to/ be/being designed to reflect good hockey play. It does not highlight aspects of hockey skills. It does not highlight or favor one position ahead of the others. The aim is a league, a scoring system that acknowledges and merits good hockey play no matter which position it comes from on the ice.

80M cap - 22 teams - 27 main roster - unlimited prospects - UFA n RFA bidding system - waivers - daily roster set - draft lottery - cap space trading - $4 premium service fee

We are skating 4C - 4 RW - 4 LW - 6 D - 1 G-man - optional Enforcer through categories. G - A - SOG - PPP - Hits - Blocks - FOW/FOL - Take/Give'way - SHGs - TOI - +/- (fights - PIMs <slight value> giving some value to everyone in the NHL) D-men have slightly higher values for blocked shots and less for giveaways. Goalies = SA - SV - Wins - Shutouts - MIN - goals - assists. Enforcers have bump ups for hits PIMS fight bump downs for goals and assists

Stay clear of this league. Managers leaving all the time and they are still drafting since January. Poorly run. Guy running it has no clue what he is doing. Posts rules then changes rules, penalizes managers during the draft after he changes the rules, taking draft picks away ect. It's a complete joke. I noticed other managers in Fantrax posting the same thing about this league that I am posting here. He takes your league entry fee and won't give it back after you realize just how much of a joke things are. He makes it sound like a legit league, but it's not.

Just noticed this part of yer message - the 4 dollar fee is paid to fantrax - if you want a refund, contact fantrax - you've done it twice before
